Giving back when it's needed most

Hundreds of Western Australians owe their lives to the RAC Rescue helicopters and the crews that operate the 24-hour, seven-day-a-week service. The RAC Rescue helicopters have flown more than 4,450 missions since beginning operations in 2003. Last year alone the Perth based helicopter flew 383 missions.

Giving back to WA for the better

RAC is committed to giving back to its members and the community, and is proud to now sponsor both RAC Rescue helicopters, having sponsored the Perth-based service since its inception in 2003.

The RAC Rescue helicopters are managed by the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) with the Perth based service having flown more than 4,450 missions missions since 2003 saving the lives of hundreds of West Australians.

RAC sponsors the State's second emergency rescue helicopter

Operational from 1 February 2016, the new RAC Rescue helicopter will primarily be based in Bunbury and will provide critical care medical services, essential hospital transfers, and respond to search and rescue missions.
